I had an experience last night that shook me to the core... A very small but gorgeous venue.. A manager that I thought could appreciate the plight of musicians . I couldnt have been more wrong.. You want top artists but you only want to pay new artist prices.. wouldnt even throw in a burger for the artist who singlehandedly kept 17 ppl quite entertained for 3 hours... sad.... very sad.. after jan 1st I will no longer be working in the bar level... I have taken every kind of hit an agent can take in the last 10 yrs.. Treated so badly (I can just imagine whats happening to artists with no reps.. Time to get out..I have been asked to go back to running publicity for AAA artists for record companies out of new york and LA . only booking 4 artists nationwide in the better MUSIC VENUES ...BUT FIRST A BIG ASS PARTY AT RUDS
