I had an interesting conversation today with two older Americans who remember the Great Depression. I was sitting inside the mall, waiting for my daughter when this married couple, a man and a woman, asked if they could sit beside me. Can you believe I have to be specific about their gender? I said, yes and right off the bat, I asked them if they knew we were losing our freedoms. The man replied, Weve already lost them all. I said that we havent lost them all yet. I told him I was trying to wake people up to whats happening to our country and our liberties. I cant remember his exact words, because I was very sleepy, but he was telling me that he thought it was too late and that I was being too optimistic and that it was all in vain. In my opinion, this was a wise man, like my own Daddy was. I told the man that I am an optimist, but I am also a realist and that he is probably right. But I told him I am still optimistic and that I see some people are beginning to wake up. We never mentioned our party affiliation. I did tell him that I believed Obama, George W. Bush and the Clintons were globalists and that they wanted a corporate global government. He replied, Isnt that what we have now? My Mothers family lived on a farm during the Great Depression. There were seven kids and they never went hungry. Mother used to talk about the doctor who lived up on the hill and how his family would have biscuits for breakfast and Mothers family would have cornbread. I asked the couple about that and they said it was because flour was so scarce. He said you could raise your own corn and make it into flour. They said that food was so scarce. The man talked about how he had always made a garden and that if hard times come, that he knows how to survive. He senses that things are going to change drastically within our country, in the not too distant future. He is almost ninety and has a heart condition and he told me he wouldnt live to see the change. I was out and about all afternoon and I saw many little children and I know why I feel it is my duty to awaken the people. It is so the children can someday enjoy the liberties that have made this country a beacon of hope and freedom for the whole world to see.
