I had an opportunity to talk today with one of our Sherman High - TopicsExpress

I had an opportunity to talk today with one of our Sherman High classmates: Connie Woods-Hendricks (Class of1965). We discussed one of the projects that she has started. I am so excited about the project that I had to share it with all of my Boone County friends. I believe that a scholarship fund for Sherman High School is long overdue. I plan on helping out and hope that many of you see fit to do the same. The area has seen some really hard times and the kids deserve any break that they can get. If you would be interested in helping in this worthwhile endeavor, checks can be made payable to the Boone County Community Foundation and mailed to their office at: P. O. Box 695, Madison, WV 25130. Any amount will be appreciated and the donation is tax deductible. Be sure to write Big Coal River Scholarship Fund in the memo section of your check to ensure your funds are credited to the right account. Please pass along this info to other classmates and relatives who you feel could help with this project. Many Kudos go out to Connie for taking on this well deserved project. Connie prepared a great letter explaining the details of the program but, so far I have not been able to attach. I will try to put it on the Sherman High site... 256-724-0359 cell
