I had been messing with an interesting sliding-chord progression that uses a 3-fingered position up and down the guitar fret, playing with sort of a bossa nova calypso rhythm. During lunch I decided that would be a good back-up for a song sort of like Kokomo by the Beach Boys. I came up with what I call "Tropical Paradise". The second verse follows: I wanna find me a tropical paradise Where nights are warm and folks are nice, And lovers dance while steel drums play Calypso tunes from dusk till day.
