I had done all the right things to keep ahead of my diagnosis. I had a strong family history so I made sure to get my yearly mammograms, ultrasounds and breast check ups. I even had a job working at a major cancer center as a breast MRI technologist. I always had the feeling that I would eventually develop breast cancer but with all my due diligence, it would be caught early when that time came. I was not surprised when I got the biopsy results but I was flabbergasted when it was revealed that I had stage 3a. As it turned out I was one of the unlucky statistics who get breast cancer and it does not show up clearly on a mammogram or ultrasound.
