I had heard parts the story of our National Anthem before, but - TopicsExpress

I had heard parts the story of our National Anthem before, but never this more expanded, and Im sure well researched, version of what was occurring when Francis Scott Key wrote it. The fact that hundreds of captives were praying below, while hundreds still at the fort sacrificed their lives to that for which it stands, gives new meaning and stronger dedication to my spirit to NOT LET this, once great nation, go down in disgrace. Church of the Living God, Rise up! Put on the whole armor of God for the warfare we wage is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness and selfishness! Let us strongly resolve to lay aside our pride and the sin which does so easily take us captive and let our voice be heard! The blood of a patriots cries out for it, the lives and welfare of our children and grand children depends on it and the blood of Christ demands it!
