I had hoped to have received a response regarding this from PAG but as yet have had no acknowledgement from anyone, thus thought I would put this out there for consideration. As mum to 3 current St Marys girls I have spoken to many teachers over the last few weeks. I am aware that should the PAGs plans prove unworkable (no negativity intended) then many teachers will be out of a job. I have also been informed that there may be an issue with redundancy payments? This causes me huge concern as many of the teachers will have financial commitments, mortgages, bills, fees for their children and significant others to support. I cannot imagine how worrying this must be for them, yet they still come to school showing resounding professionalism. To this end I wondered what thoughts were surrounding a donation fund that once collected could be given as a gesture to the teachers. I am aware that everyone is financially stretched but hoped that we may be able to provide a small financial gesture if others see fit to these marvellous beings. I recently read that many people only need a few months without work, having held down a job previously before their finances become very precarious indeed. Just a thought....
