I had just left the living room and entered the kitchen, there in the doorway, blocking the entrance to the hall that leads to the bath where I was headed, was the second runner up, of the biggest spider I have ever seen. Michael was still asleep so my I began to lay out the plan of attack!! It was too close to the wall and kitchen stove to hit it with a weapon like a shoe or swatter, the pellet gun was not loaded!! Anguish and fear gripped at my nerves. I grabbed my shoe, knowing I couldnt win, so I threw it hard at my target!! I hit it!! I fully expected it to run, but it just barley moved as if to say, ha, I am not dead, now what you going to do. I softly jumped over the space where it was, went into the bathroom, and got the Hairspray. I tiptoed around the kitchen doorway and bent over with my hand on the trigger, I mean nozzle. I got as close as I could, and sprayed as hard as I could. The spider began to crawl toward me, I picked up my shoe and KABLOOEY, it was dead. I think all the old grandpa spiders came in when it was 20 below last winter. I am on the look out now, pretty scary stuff!! :(
