I had my first solid poop since i arrived in pemba 2 days ago. People at iris are totally out of there minds. But, i suppose that is one reason why people travel from around the world to come here. Right now we are watching British soccer games at a beach resort in the shade and the cool breeze. Suffering for the gospel. I miss my friends and family. I am on the film crew here and we are making 2 films that potentially will save hundreds of lives: teaching unreached villages the importance of proper water consumption and the importance of avoiding hiv/aids. Yea... dont get aids everyone. In the leper village we visited we saw many salvations and were able to save a little boys life. The chief said that they have felt like they were a forgotten people after the Portuguese took over and abandoned them 50 years ago. But through the honor we showed them and the love of God they know now that there is still hope for them. We had to travel 7 hours into the heart of Mozambique to get there but it was a great adventure and totally worth it. We have seen some minor healings at the base but i still want to see God raise someone from the dead. Im living with many who have seen such things. Life here can be difficult for various reasons but on the other hand it is alot easier than i thought. Im struggling with the selfishness of the people here in pemba. I so appreciate our American way of life. There are generations of kids living unparented and even more so unfathered. And there is a constant flow of tourism in this town so panhandeling and insatiable thirst for attention from white people area common realities here. Giving becomes an enabling mechanism for the orphan spirit. So ministry requires divine involvement of the holy spirit in Africa too ;). Blessings to all who are watching and my love goes out to you all.
