I had my six year old granddaughter and her three year old brother - TopicsExpress

I had my six year old granddaughter and her three year old brother over to my house yesterday and she said something I think all of us women who are married or have been married could relate to. She was going to wash her baby doll sheets and blankets in the imaginary washer which was in my living room. We were upstairs in my bedroom. Her brother followed her carrying blocks which he informed me was clothing. They came back up and made a sound similar to the washing machine ending or having a problem. She went downstairs and came back up frustrated (acting of course) and told me that she was going to have to call the "washerman" to fix the machine. I asked her if she had money to pay him and she said no. I told her that he would be expensive and she told me that her "washerman" did not charge. I told her I wanted his name and number. She then proceeded to call the "washerman" on a toy phone and told him that her husband which I think she gave that role to her brother for the purposes of this re-enactment did not listen and the clothes were stuck. She said that her "husband" was going to fix it but did not. Sound familiar ladies?
