I had never stood up and clapped at the end of a film before, - TopicsExpress

I had never stood up and clapped at the end of a film before, especially not at home, until last night.... Every so often a film comes so highly recommended I tend to put it in my back pocket for when it might be needed. Earlier this week I saw a new film so awful in many ways it was depressing, so in the hope of saving my love of Film I dug out the DVD of COMPANEROS Pete gave me about 5 years ago. With the jolliest ever Morricone theme, the most beautiful balance of tone, stunning scenery helped by the Anchor Bay transfer, Jack Palance as a permanently baked villain and Franco Nero as the swarthiest Swede in the West, it was more enjoyable on a visceral level than any western I can think of. Highly Recommended for a rainy day... https://youtube/watch?v=WgJooD6x8aw
