I had so friends asking to use the boathouse this weekend, so I went to check it and drop off some items - I am not happy with the condition I found it in!! I do NOT care WHO left it in the condition I found it - it doesnt matter who - what matters is they did not think enough of my property to take care of it for me. SO - This message applies to all users of the VAUGHN Boathouse !!! Friends and Family - No Exceptions!! I have spent the last 45 minutes CLEANING IT UP! it was dirty, messy and smelled terrible!! it was not vacuumed or the counter cleaned (it was NASTY). Dont leave your clothes in there either - unless they are of high quality, expensive, and will fit ME!! If you use the fridge, please take your OLD FOOD out - I threw out something that I could not tell if it was hotdogs or dried tree branches!! I will also be cleaning the fridge - that mess is on me this time, however, I EXPECT all users to keep the boathouse ready for use by someone other than themselves... The rules are very clear - keep it clean, keep it neat, and if there is a problem or you find it dirty when you get there, call me... This will NOT happen again - if I find it in this condition again, I will change the lock on the door without notifying anyone and you can contact me each time you want to use it in the future or to get your things out that you may have left. Lastly, no more animals inside the boathouse - I have to wash the comforter due to what appeared to be an animal laying on the futon - the furniture is for human butts - not 4 legged friends. If you cant fish without your furry buddy, then find somewhere else to fish for the day. If this upsets you or angers you - tough!! its my rules or you can find another place to fish - I do not want to clean up after you - Im not your mama!! The boathouse is for everyones enjoyment - I would HATE to have to restrict access because someone cannot clean up after EACH USE!! I hope this message is CLEAR - I will not be repeating it in the future. Either abide by these rules or leave your key on the counter next visit - no exceptions.... James
