I had such a great seven days in Beijing (without children! A first in six years! holy crap!) without Kent (as he was working so I had all kind of time to myself when no one asked me for anything except to take my picture (???)) and a fantastic time with Kent when he was off for the weekend (so we climbed the Great Wall, rode bikes all around Beijing, enjoyed relatively smog free weather, had a lavish five course brunch, went for massages, etc. etc. etc.) then came home to sunny weather in LA, and a great and nurturing & supportive time with my parents (where else can you have Jet lag crash where you sleep all day while your folks take care of your children???) and now after delayed, rescheduled flights am now home again, and while we miss Kent, and while the children - post LA earthquake - fall asleep clinging to me like koala bears, it is, oh, so good, to be home again. Though I am still slightly homesick for Seattle.
