I had the dog out for her walk and on my travels came across a woman with a dog off leash walking up the main road ... The dog went to another dog in front of me and was friendly enough but what if the other dog hadnt been? The dog then came to me and Lucy - again Lucy isnt aggressive but rather scared in a new situation ... What if that dog had seen a cat? If its readily going to a dog then itll readily do other things. I said to this woman - Your dog should be on a leash. She told me to F*** Off ... I replied politely - it is illegal to have your dog off the leash on public roads like this - it could cause an accident so close to the main road and more importantly an aggressive dog being looked after properly could not be blamed for attacking in this situation. Put him onto a leash and keep him under control. She replied very aggressively to me, he is under control. I said, Really? Hes just left your side twice to go to other dogs, so if a dog was across the road hed go across the road too. Get him on a leash and keep him under control. The barrage of expletives that followed me as I continued with Lucy is not repeatable!
