I had the great pleasure of meeting Professor Hongduan Yang, world renowned master Chinese calligrapher and painter, visiting the Frye Art Museum yesterday. Hes such a kind and gracious soul. Hongduan Yang was personally instructed by the great grand master of ink painting, Qi Baishi. Qi Baishi also instructed Isamu Noguch, a prominent Japanese American artist and landscape architect, in ink painting.
