I had the honor of being part of the first live audience to hear this poem. I cried as I listened because I could not imagine the pain of losing 43 of my students, let alone what 43 mothers felt burying their 43 children. We lost 43 young lives...we lost 43 agents of change. IF I HAVE TAGGED YOU IN THIS VIDEO I CHALLENGE YOU TO PAY IT FORWARD BY SHARING IT WITH 3 OTHERS ALONG WITH 3 SENTENCE PERSONAL NOTE TELLING THEM WHY YOU PICKED THEM. I chose Massimo Alejandro Vasquez, David Nazario, and Egedeme Franqui and a few others because I am interested in your perspectives as community activists, writers, poets, artists, etc. Exactly three months ago today the 43 disappeared.
