I had the honor of working for Hobie glassing surfboards in the board shop in Capistrano Beach then moving over to the Catamaran shop with Mickey and Phil and working on the Hobie Cat 16 back in the 70s... one of the coolest jobs I ever had and Hobie was always so easy going and fun to talk to whenever he would come around... been to some good gigs @ his house on City Beach Road in Capo Beach... What a Legend, I will always remember the smile and handshake from him in those days... R.I.P. Hobie, man you will be missed!!
