I had the pleasure of meeting a remarkable woman this afternoon in the most of unfortunate circumstances. Miss Ss house has been gutted due to a fire and while she did sustain some burns she is ok now and living on her property. She has 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 birds and 1 small chicken. Miss S was very fortunate to not have lost any of her pets. They are currently being boarded free of charge by RSPCA NSW at their Yagoona Shelter. Today she was able to bring her Cocky CB home to which CB is very relieved, as she was not coping being away from her Mum. I took with me a huge food hamper donated by Mama Lanas Community Foundation which Miss S was very grateful for. I also took dog and cat food, bird seed and chicken pellets along with bowls, a bucket, blankets, toys and newspaper for the bird cages. When I arrived, Miss S told me someone had given her a tent and a camp kitchen. When I asked her what she needed for herself, all she asked for was a cup of tea. So I brought along a thermos of hot water for her to keep. In amongst all the chaos, she has a beautiful flower in her camp kitchen. Silvia
