I had the pleasure to hear Dr. David Hill talk about hormones this morning. I learned so much and really look forward to sharing it all eventually. BUT one thing I found VERY interesting has to do with our ovaries. During our childbearing years, this little thing makes bringing forth new life possible. BUT did you know that your ovaries play a huge role to preventing heart disease and some cancers one you are past menopause? YES! The interior lining of your ovaries kick into gear after menopause to release a hormone that works to prevent heart disease and some cancers. All parts of our body are essential no matter what stage in life we are! :) Share this with your friends who are considering "surgical menopause". There are other options if you are struggling with hormonal issues.
