At one rehearsal when I was chattering on – in a self demeaning way – she looked straight into my eyes and said in that deep resonant voice, “Beth. She was kind, gracious, and dignified as always. Once she sent me flowers for an opening night of a play. The card said, Keep the faith. I shall.
