I had the rare privilege today of being in the presence of 2 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. Sammy Davis and Gordon Roberts visited our MHS family today, and my class was one of the few that got to participate in a small group Q&A session with Col. Roberts. I remember as a young girl listening to my Grandpa tell me about one of his experiences that he later received a medal for when he was in combat in WWII. It was the only time I ever saw my Grandpa cry. Listening to these 2 men today reminded me of all the untold stories of unbelievable bravery and extraordinary selflessness that we will never know about, all done in the name of our freedom. Ive never been so humbled and so proud to live in the United States of America.
