I had to be out of the office yesterday when, turns out, a beloved colleague and friend emailed his community about me and my work. Just because he likes it. I hadnt seen his newsletter yet because there were several notes above it, asking if Id seen what Tad Hargrave said about you. And then I found what hed said: Carrie Klassen is the Audrey Hepburn of marketing. Carrie is to marketing as warm sweaters and hot cups of mulled wine are to winter days. Pink Elephant is the platonic romance that Marketing for Hippies is constantly courting. I cant possibly commend her work or character highly enough. As I squealed and giggled and felt all blushy, I realized that I really enjoy having my mulled-wine business platonic-romantically courted. And that its good to have friends like Tad Hargrave. Friends who see you. And tell their friends. I have never had any desire to be famous (or internet famous). But, lately, I have been thinking I *am* ready to reach more people. Because I would like to share the work of others more broadly. There are so many people in this here Pink Elephant community who are doing amazing things and just need others to know about it. There is so much good being so quietly done. I want to wave your banners from my rooftop. And I want to be more like Tad Hargrave.
