I had wanted this truck for 3 years before I was finally able to - TopicsExpress

I had wanted this truck for 3 years before I was finally able to buy it in 2011 ever since then its been beat, broke, ripped apart, and now finally being 100% rebuild from the ground up. Ive been planning on rebuilding it for awhile but after breaking the transmission in half last year I finally said its time to start, I wasnt really sure what I wanted to do with it at this time but after thinking about it for awhile it finally hit me. I decided to not only rebuild it but to rebuild it in away that Ive never seen before. Ive seen a lot of badass trucks but I wanted something that would really stand out when it was done so I decided to rebuild it for my best friend and his wife. This is where the true planning went in she has been fighting breast cancer for 5-8 years now the first time she beat it but it ended up coming back so I figured yeah I can donate money but I felt I could do so much more then that and build a truck around what she is going through an to show my support in her fight with breast cancer. Over the last year Ive been buying parts for the build but my favorite part was designing the rims that were custom water jetted by plan b fab out of FL. There was about a month of planning thats gone into the rims itself. The truck started off at a 91 c10 that was put onto a 79/80 frame built by Ed fisher the front end was a gm 10bolt, rear was a 14bolt ff, it had a mild 355/th350/208 set up on 38s I later changed to 42s and rebuild the 355 but I new that little 10bolt wasnt going to hold up. New parts list dana 60 front, 4.88 Yukon gears, Yukon locker, WFO 1.25 offset drag link, and ORD crossover steering transmission is now a level 4 900hp rated fti th400 full manual reverse valve body with transbrake T-case is a 12 drop profab 1.545 bullgear 1.652 final drive gear Rear is still a welded 14 bolt with disc brake conversion and both axles have 1410 yokes Tires I switched from 42 super swampers to 41.5 r2 superior traction 8.3-24 I didnt want to run blocks so I also added a ORD shackle flip kit with a 6 super shackle and the frame was blasted, primed, then coated in raptor liner The motor mounts are competition style mounts from ORD I switched the old b&m shifter out for a new TCI outlaw shifter Both the old bucket seats have been replaced with kirkey racing seats and g-force 5 point harnesses. The truck still needs a cage, paint, and drive shafts before it all is finished.
