I hate banks - in a true Stephen Leacock fashion. Today, I paid off my credit card balance. But the system hiccupped, and took the payment twice. I called the bank within minutes. But they told me they cant reverse the payment, without charging me a cash advance fee. Instead, they have to make a formal written request to Bank Central for them to return my money. With luck, they say, Ill get a refund by Wednesday. Argh.
