I hate coffee and the people that drink it. Its so antisocial. Its acceptable when consumed at home - but not in public. Let me explain: if I enter any establishment that sells coffee, fresh from a machine, and there are maybe 5 people in front of me in the queue - I know that, at an average of 2 minutes from ordering, to the next customer being served, it will take at least 10 minutes for me to pay (with correct change ready) for the item in my hands. Those who order the coffee are bewildered, so it would seem, on a daily basis, by the wonderful array of choices out there... they will often ponder exactly how they are all different (theyre not really that dissimilar) but, inevitably, will order the same thing every time anyway. This pondering only adds to the time that the infernal machine takes to actually make the thing, or for the guy to fiddle to get the damn top on the cup. Funniest of all... coffee is a lie! It is completely pointless! The body adapts, very quickly, to the regular intake of caffeine; it becomes immune. However, the body does suffer withdrawl symptoms during periods of non coffee consumption... this is why coffee drinkers need that morning cup to perk up. You arent perking up at all, youre just relieving the withdrawl symptoms (brought on overnight by not drinking coffee whilst asleep) and raising yourself up to the same level of tiredness as non coffee drinkers! Essentially you are paying increasing amounts of money to drink (what is essentially) a poison and feel terrible at all times in between. Someone once said that, because of this, people should either drink coffee all the time or never at all. I think it should be be the latter.
