I hate it when my Facebook friends share videos and pictures of animal and child abuse, etc., and it ends up on my newsfeed with dozens of ridiculous violent and profanity-laden comments. It accomplishes nada. By the time that type of video or photograph has been circulated and ends up in your newsfeed, the story associated with it is already very likely to have reached its conclusion. I will hereafter be unfriending people who perpetuate the sharing and presentation of such vile content, as any positive or productive reason for sharing such content is purely imaginary.
