I hate to do this, but I’m going to use the “B” word – BUDGET. Don’t leave… keep reading… Budget doesn’t have to be bad word. And it doesn’t have to be complicated. A budget is simply you telling your money what to do. If you use QuickBooks, you can enter your budget into the program by clicking on the Company menu, Planning & Budgeting, and Set Up Budgets. You can choose to create your budget from scratch or have it created from the previous year’s data. Once created, QuickBooks has several budget reports to help you stay on track and make decisions. Don’t let budgets scare you. Let them help you take control of your money.
