I have 2 rescue dogs, Finnegan and Gus. I rescued Finnegan, a double merle deaf Australian Shepherd in June 2012. I had lost my previous Aussie, Winston, in March. I love Aussies and fell in love with his sweet face. I had never had a deaf dog, but was not deterred by that. He is such a sweet boy. He is the most snuggly, velcro Aussie I have been around. He is a little anxious, but I found out he had zero socialization as a puppy so he got off to a rough start. Ive been working with his fear of other dogs, and he is improving. I adopted Gus, a deaf boxer/bully mix in March 2013. After having Finn for almost a year I wanted another dog and I really wanted another deaf one.
