I have 30 years to dedicate to Jefferson County. I have gathered experience from multiple agencies and companies that have given me the necessary tools to be a successful Sheriff. I learned kind friendly public service as a Park Ranger for the Army Corps of Engineers, I learned how to be a good police officer at the Mt.Vernon Police Department. As a manager for DuPont I learned how to manage 40+ employees and operate over a 2 million dollar budget, At the Ina Police Department I have learned to implement policies, manage department directives, and implement new technology such as on officer cameras. I also bring a very strong work ethic. While I was managing 40+ employees at DuPont, I was the part time Police Chief for the Village of Ina. I worked 2 jobs so I could put myself through graduate school and earned my Master’s Degree in Management from Greenville College. With this work experience combined with my education I bring a strong set of tools to the Sheriff’s Office.
