I have a 26 year old gelding who I would like to get more weight on. He is an EXTREMELY picky eater. He will not eat rice bran or weight supplements such as weight gain or cocosoya. He gets 1 1/2 of senior feed twice a day (if I give him more he wont eat it). I give him 1 large flake of grass and 1 large flake of alfalfa (which he eats what he wants and leaves whatever he doesnt). Ive tried chopped hay and he doesnt seem to like that either. Does anyone have anything they recommend to try? The only thing that seems to be working right now is turning him out on grass, but with winter coming Im looking for other ways. Thanks!
