I have a couple of weekly Acting or Writing slots available for the next 3 months. ACTING workshops or coaching slots are 2-hour minimum sessions. You can book 3 or 4 hours if you wish and I have the time available. If you arent in Sydney, sessions can be conducted via Video Skype. You can combine Coaching and Workshop into a single session. Typically these sessions are one on one, however some actors have worked in pairs or groups or skype video grouping. It depends on what your objectives are. Youll cover or expand skills such as: screenplay reading, subtext, character, story, develop or assess your showreel, inner confidence, how not to Act, how to draw an audience, a range of exercises that can be done individually enabling you to develop your skills, audition guidance and rehearsals, screenplay character rehearsals, Casting Director information, monologues and much more. I can also provide in depth details on USA casting processes, what you need, what to do and who to contact. WRITING sessions can include guidance, consultancy, coverage, editing, loglines, synopsis development, story structure guidance, pitch development, pitch trial and coaching. I have no Co-writing slots available in the next 3 months. However from November if you interested in bringing a project that you are currently developing to my co-writing attention (you dont pay for the actual co-writing as I have a vested interest in the success of the screenplay too), you are welcome to make a project pitch via phone or skype. I dont take written pitches any more. There is a small fee for a your initial pitch. Once a month from the 23rd to the 28th (usually) I undertake a reading period of solicited screenplays. If youd like to submit your screenplay for reading and potential marketing to my Producer connections, youll need to purchase a pitch session (10 minutes, for $35) to make your pitch. Ill give you about a page or 2 feedback if your pitch isnt successful so you can adapt and consider a further pitch session purchase. My advice always on a pitch session is be prepared. Be sure you know your story and the story you pitch is the story in your Logline, One Page, Synopsis and of course the screenplay. I also offer a representation service for screenplays I feel have extraordinary potential. Producers I am in contact with monthly are looking for TV series, Features in budget ranges of Sub $1m, $5m, $10m, $25m and $35 to $50m. The less known you are as a writer, the lower your screenplay budget should target. Please note writing is focused on feature screenplays. If you have a short, please contact me for special pricing. Im happy to work with writers on short films in a brainstorming capacity and a final draft coach. I tend not to co-write shorts, but you could draw my attention as has happened over the years. I am also looking for feature screenplays to slate over the next 7 years. The screenplay must be completed now, and ready to produce. I have two possibly three slots available to slate ready to go screenplays for production on budgets between $1m and $15m between 2016 and 2019. They don’t have to be Australian stories. Please note that the project budget for Australian feature screenplays should be kept to around $500,000. So avoid your all bells and whistles Aussie Science Fiction worth $500m in VFX. It’s not happening! I have around 6 months left in Australia prior to relocating to LA for a prolonged period. This is a great opportunity for any Australian writer or actor to create an impact with me, get ahead of the queue and open a few doors for the future. I have no hesitation in recommending people who are talented and committed. I do not recommend actors or writers, or others, I have not worked with. There may be a series of week long courses advertised for late October, November and December this year. Courses are intense Acting or Filmmaking programs. Courses run Monday to Saturday of each week from 9 AM till 5 PM or 6 PM till 11 PM. The 6 days full time courses range from $800 to $1200 and is more conversational and introductory. The 12 day full time courses range from $1000 to $1500, treat it like you are working a professional gig, it’s intense and there are deadlines. The 12 day course holds a screening on the final Sunday of the program at a CBD Cinema. Courses are only run if I have perfectly clear weeks. You can do both strands, Acting or Filmmaking, if you like 2 hours of sleep a day. The courses run in parallel. Participants in either of the 12 day courses will be working together to delivering a completed commercial level short film product. A generous budget is allocated to the project. Typically one short film is expected, however the participants may choose to make 2 films. Additional budget is at the discretion of myself. This is an intense program. An interview process and in the case of actors an audition applies to secure your entry. These courses only run on full subscription and presently planned only for Sydney. Although may consider Brisbane and Melbourne if demand arises. International Students can inquire about 4 week packages including all accommodation, transfers and living needs. Why me?
