I have a couple prayer requests Id like to share with you, and I - TopicsExpress

I have a couple prayer requests Id like to share with you, and I thank you for all your faithful prayers and support through so many events in our lives. First, I ask you continue to lift my mom, Linda Dellenbach, up in prayer. She and Dad have temporarily moved in with my brother Josh and his wife Devan so they can provide some specialized nutrition and help with care. Its been nice but is also an adjustment for everyone. Mom has had considerable trouble eating, drinking, and keeping things down. Please pray we can keep her hydrated and get some nutrition in her and that we can keep her pain to a minimum. We are meeting with hospice Monday, which is a tough but necessary step. Pray well have wisdom about which provider and services to choose to be most helpful. Please pray for peace and comfort for Mom and Dad, as well as rest for all the caregivers. Josh and Devan need strength and energy to prepare meals, work, homeschool, provide care, parent, etc. and they need to have encouragement. Travis and his parents have been so good to keep Lake and Liberty to allow me to spend as much time as possible with Mom. I very much appreciate it, but it is taxing for them. Above all, please continue to believe with us for healing. Mom is such a treasure, and I love her more than words can express. Next, I ask you pray for my Grandma Glenna. She took a trip to Arizona with my Uncle Kevin and Aunt Denice and their family to visit my cousin Anna and her family. My 92 year old grandma went with a cold after an exhausting couple weeks celebrating Christmas. Once she hit the high altitude, things kind of went downhill for her. She is in the hospital receiving some antibiotics and resting. At first they feared it was congestive heart failure but have determined its mostly just a cold magnified by all the circumstances. She should be dismissed tomorrow on oxygen to return to the lower altitude in Kansas. Still, please just pray for healing rest for her and a safe return. I came home from Kansas today because Lake and Liberty were both very feverish. Praise the Lord, they tested negative for flu and strep throat and seem to feel pretty good overall. However, we need full healing for them and protection for the rest of us. Almost all our extended family has been sick over the holidays and are in various stages of recovery. We need health restored to everyone. Lastly, I selfishly ask for prayer for myself. I sometimes feel weary from all the driving back and forth, missing my family, the emotional strain, etc. I also am regretting saying id teach this semester. All I want to do is be with Mom as much as I can to support her and Dad, as well as provide some relief for Josh and Devan. I have to let that go, but its tough. Thank you all again. I know that is super long. I love each and every one of you. Happy New Year!
