I have a couple questions, I hope someone here can help me out. I am trying to use focus stacking software combined with my light box. First question, the front of my objects are dark, so I try to use my external flash on a stand with an umbrella. I use the built in in commander mode, but it still goes off, even though in the settings I have it set at --, and have it in commander mode. When I have a reflective surface, I can see both the built in flash and the umbrella reflected on the object. If I add another paper to the front and just poke my lens through, I dont think my lens is wide enough and can even focus that close anyway. So how do I lite the front without a reflection, and without adding a front side to my box? How do I get my built in flash to stop going off??? that bugs me. Next is about focus stacking, does that only work well with macro lenses? Because cant you just use a smaller aperture to get a greater depth of field? Here is my first focus stacked image in my light box SOOC, LED lights three sides and the top, no front flashes. The back of the elephant is slightly out of focus, because it was really hard to see where the focus was on my computer screen. I had my camera plugged into my computer.
