I have a difficult task this morning. I need to respond to a reporters email requesting an update about my effort to get on the ballot for the November election. The judges refusal to allow me equal protection of the law prevented my petition from being reviewed under the doctrine of substantial compliance and consequently prohibited any chance of allowing me to be on the ballot. I worked so hard and made so many sacrifices to obtain 4 times the amount of valid signatures from qualified, legal voters that were required by the Party candidates. And even the though the error was not a mistake I made, I still had twice as many signatures as the Party candidates. It would cost another $3,000 to appeal the judges decision and then another several thousand to take it to the Supreme Court if needed, just to fight for equal protection of the laws. Given the monetary expense of litigation, which if I did pursue and won, the election would be over. My campaign was eaten up with litigation all because the Incumbent State Representative Sam Yingling was terrified of the competition I brought to the race. The Republican candidate Rob Drobinski reviewed my petition and said I deserved to be on the ballot. He would not file an objection against me. So, on that note, I hope District 62 voters elect the Republican candidate-- Rob Drobinski who is not afraid of facing competition from a strong, Independent woman. Vote for Democracy--Elect Rod Drobinkski State Representative District 62.
