I have a dilemma spurring from last night and this pertains under the subject of hockey edict. I understand that is the playoff hockey, I am by no means taking away from that, but my issue was about morals. A young child along with two others was sitting behind us enjoying the game with her grandmother. not to mention banging the cow bell on the seat instead of in the air, but this child has by far the loudest most ear piercing scream that I have ever heard. Enough to cause us to be very uncomfortable with the rest of the game. My son, who is also a child, was directly in front of her and his ears were actually beginning to hurt. He turned and politely asked that she would not scream so loud. Of all people, the grandmother says NO! is a hockey game. Not only denying the request, but encourages her to scream louder and more often and even adds to the screaming. To top it off, the grandmother instructs the child the rip up several napkins into confetti and after the game threw it at my son. This caused me to be completely irate, but kept my composure for the sake of my own children. Where does the line get crossed in all this. There is nothing like seeing my own two children covering their ears, not about the overall noise, but from one screaming child. Again, for the spirit of the game, I enjoy the sights and sounds. But, I also know to be courteous to the fellow fans around us. Is this too much to ask?
