I have a dream, that one day, one of our government officials will show one of the signs of OK, not good nor great leadership, just an OK leadership! When a mistake, of any kind is made at any level of the hierarchy, who should own up to it? Who should step up, admit it first, then take action? Well if we analyze the incident with the Rabat stadium during the Clubs World Cup, in this case the guy at the top is Mr. Ouzzine, the minister of Youth and Sports. His reaction was what I call classical and typical of our officials, no surprise there. 1. Denial Favorite reaction as our officials are perfect and all people under their leadership are as well. So no mistakes are ever made at least not under their watch, they are perfect just like God sent prophets 2. God’s will “Mektab” “Ma chaa Allah” well when people hear this they are supposed to just chill it is God’s will, it rained, it should not have 3. Not good citizenship to bring this up People who cretisize their government are not good citizens! No comment there 4. It is the consultant’s fault (company who won the tender) Well as a consultant myself to several government entities, I can certify that more than often we are there walking on egg-shells because the minute SH!T hits the fan, “C’est le prestataires qui doit assumer ses responsabilites….espece de prestataire va!” 5. A vague or no action plan When you start arguments with there is no problem, this is propaganda and God’s will, how can you conclude with an action plan? His response to live videos by channels like EuroSport who apparently is aligned with Polisario https://youtube/watch?v=mkQwu0iGNKk Be a real a man, admit your shortcoming and resign man, people will respect you for it more than what you are pathetically trying to do.
