I have a few friends who are shall we say NBA fans (embarrassing I know), but this year they are beginning to finally see the light. Hockey is the greatest sport on Earth, and yes I include football in the equation. Roger Goddell is destroying the game that I loved for so long, but that is for another day. Most people tend to dive away from frozen rubber discs travelling at over 100 miles an hour, not hockey players. It is the ULTIMATE team game, because their is a heavily padded goalie playing behind you whose sole purpose is to stop that shot, but they dive in front of it anyway. They literally put their body in harms way for the team, including the superstars. Can you see Tom Brady, Kevin Garnett, or any NBA player for that matter blocking a shot from Chara? I have had the opportunity to meet a few NHL players and they are truly throwbacks. Just nice guys without the ego it is so refreshing that hockey is back and better than ever!!! Go Beees!!!!
