He was telling people how a disabled vet owes $80 to his electric company and although he pleaded w them that itll be paid in full on the first, the companys turning off the vets electricity anyway. Someone offered to western union the $80 to keep this mans lights on. In reading top to bottom I went from sad to mad to happy in under 15 seconds and the emotional rollercoaster made me get sick and start crying. We need to, as a community, all become Veterans outreach. We need to help them budget, make appts, and find jobs or assistance. Our heroes are our responsibility. We know we cant depend on our government so why do we forget about people with PTSD, amputees, elderly, and those with TBI? Im so angry at businesses cruel to disabled vets and so proud when I see people support them. But it should be commonplace.
