I have a legitimate question that may not be sirensy but since I know that no one answers things quite as honestly as all of you, Im throwing it out here. We own property along the Skookumchuck River and as many of you know, it is now Salmon spawning season. We have quite the spawning beds off our property; we have lived here 20 years. Every year, we go down to our beach front area and sit in our lawn furniture and watch the salmon spawn. Sometimes we light a little fire in the fire ring and enjoy the evening. Our river area is well maintained (mowed) with trails leading to our house, rope swings and a flat rocky beach area where we can sit and enjoy the salmon so it is MORE THAN OBVIOUS that this is our lawn, yard and property. Over the last week, we have had a group of 4 people we dont know suddenly showing up on OUR property sitting in OUR lawn furniture while they fish for the salmon directly from our property. They are using our things, sitting in our chairs and, basically, infringing on our privacy and use of our own river front area. I cannot even take my grandchildren down to watch the fish because these people are there. Before I make a huge stink about this and totally wig out on these people, do you all feel they are doing anything wrong aside from blatantly trespassing?? I do not have No Tresspassing signs up so maybe they just really think those chairs and our things are there for their use. Is fishing for salmon that are spawning legal (I dont fish, so I dont know). I also have not told them to get the hell off my property yet, either. Im home alone and really dont want a confrontation. Advice and honesty appreciated!
