I have a lot of respect for my Pastor, Hollie Miller. Today at the end of service, he stepped on a few of our toes (you church folk will understand that). He admonished us for how dead our altar time has become. I thought about it all day today. One...he stepped on mine, because I havent been nearly burdened enough for this holy moment every week. We have people who are unprepared for eternity, families in crisis, marriages on the verge of falling apart and people in bondage to every sin under the sun. Yet we have the great privilege of humbling ourselves before the creator of the universe and seeking His face in our hour of need. What help Ive received myself, when Ive humbly bowed my knee before the Lord and sought His will and help for my life. I appreciate my Pastor addressing our apathy, and I pray it lights a flame a new in my heart to see the Lord do great and mighty things in our midst. I want to know Him more and I want to be challenged to be more like Him. If youre like me, this scenario probably plays out week after week in your home church too...If not, give thanks. And if it does, may it not remain the same because we failed to PRAY...love you all.
