I have a memory of a film, but have no idea what the film is called and google is failing me. Im pretty certain it is black and white from the 50s/60s. It is about a soviet sniper who breaks into an apartment so you has the vantage point to assassinate a US politician (I have a feeling it is a senator, but could be the president). In the apartment is a family and their friends who he holds hostage so they cant warn anyone until he makes the shot. The whole film is about the sniper holed up in the apartment waiting for the chance to take the shot while the people held hostage try to reason with him not to do it. Its kind of a bottle film. Anyone have any idea what film it is? Im not even certain it is a whole film and not just a scene from a different film, or that Ive not invented it completely (although if I have invented it then I should write it).
