I have a new Facebook friend (troll?) named Balasanthosh Ganesh: a 21 year old boy in India who wrote this in response to my American Atheist presentation on YouTube: I have had a similar experience but thats all i can say. However, in India we believe that women should not be educated in the scriptures. It is only men who are to be educated. It is infact sinful for a woman to even utter a verse. Now, this is not meant to be demeaning or anything. Its just that women dont understand or need to understand the holy scriptures. Their only job is to serve their husbands..NOT god. Thats what we believe in India. Its considered to be profitable for the woman to do this. It is clear to me now, why women are not allowed to read the scripture. It is too hard for them to digest. Consider Mathew 16:26 . You have tried to follow the whole bible properly yet have forgotten what your soul wanted in the process. Thats why you couldnt take it any longer. Women need to listen to their soul. That is their only duty. Men read scriptures. We can handle that. but wives are uneducated hence liberal in their thinking. That is your gift as a woman. Liberality. In your case, you too had become rigid through the biblical mindset. The whole system became extra rigid..! What???! ... Some days, I have no idea what to think about the messages in my Facebook inbox.
