I have a problem that I suspect at least a few of you share - several family members and friends complain when I stitch during conversations with them. It serves no purpose to explain to them, carefully and repeatedly, that I actually listen better when my hands are busy. I tell them sincerely that I am paying attention even though I am not looking them in the eye. I could vacation in Hawaii if I had a quarter for every time someone said, Put that sewing down and talk to me! Obviously the people who say this are not ones with similar obsessions. So help me out here! Because this is an open group, my sister and parents will see this post. My mom and my sister are among the culprits. *Do* any of you share this problem? And *can* you pay attention while you stitch, so your dear ones need not feel neglected because you sew? (Bonus!! My sister can *see* the post *but not comment*!!! Hahahaha!!)
