I have a puzzle for you guys. 01 Ford Taurus SES DOHC. Gas cap light is on and the actual gas cap has been replaced but light is still illuminated. There is a leak somewhere and sounds like a hissing noise coming from in between the cabin filter and the spark plug wires in the back. Upper intake gaskets recently replaced and are brand new. All wires and hoses are connected and secure. No holes in any of the hoses. Feels like the car is fighting for power during acceleration and actual skips when going up a sharp hill and i have to put it in Drive 1 for extra momentum, which i know isnt good for the engine. Whats your best guess?
