I have a question for my friend Kris Noteboom. I seriously want your input on what my client should do. I have managed a property for a guy who has had a tenant on the housing voucher for 9 years. The owner of the property has decided that he needs his house back and wants to sell it for personal reasons. It is HIS house. We gave the tenant a 45 day notice even thought we needed to only give 30 according to the lease. We were supposed to have keys by midnight last night. We went by and the tenant has not even packed a stick of furniture. When confronted her excuse was, I AM ON THE VOUCHER! She does not have a job and refuses to move. My client will now have to spend a lot of money evicting this tenant and it will take at least 3 weeks to a month. My client does not have extra money. He moved out of it years ago when he got transferred out of state. Who is wrong n this situation that I deal with every month?
