I have a question for people who are blaming both sides for the shutdown, and are therefore blaming Obama for not letting the ACA go: After the Republicans make sure that poor workers cant get insurance, they will come after Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Minimum Wage, rules about safe working conditions, environmental regulations, basically anything other than corporate welfare and tax cuts for the rich. Should Obama just keep caving to ransom demands until we are all working for $1/hour, 100 hours a week, and the robber barons are all trillionaires? Or should he stand his ground and defend the law that was passed and was upheld by the supreme court, and expect Republicans to obey the law as well, so we can continue to make progress towards a better future for all Americans?
