I have a self-medicating ferret! Okay, not entirely self-medicating... I still have to MAKE the duck soup, and put it in a bowl. And microwave it. BUT! He will now stand on the counter and eat it on his own, instead of me having to hold him wrapped in a towel, spoon feeding it all to him. He hasnt done this since his serious downturn last fall! Woot! Now I just have to feed him the four syringe meds and the one spoonful of soup that has his crushed up Pepcid on it. And hes also back to seriously objecting to the actual cancer med, which apparently tastes quite foul. He hasnt tried to spit it back out since about, oh, October, but he gave it a good shot today. (Fortunately for me, I know to basically stick the syringe down his throat so he really cant cough it back out. Ferrets arent made to regurgitate. :))
