I have a very sad heart tonight because I help my 13 year old Shiba Inu, Tojo, in my arms as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge after a brief and valiant battle against a nasal cancer. Two dear friends, Keith and Mary Lou, who shared ownership of Tojo with me, were also there, petting Tojo and talking to him. I have been praying for a peaceful death for Tojo if that was his fate, and my prayers were answered. I think he was more than ready to go find Sabrina and Maiko so they could escort him into doggy Heaven. I know others will join in the frolicking, including Dougie, Bowen, Duncan, and so many others who have been beloved dogs of friends of ours. I thank my family and friends who have provided moral support to me during this challenging time, including my husband. Love your furbabies with all your hearts. The love they share with us is priceless.
