I have always been a Jaguar fan, but have never really been in the - TopicsExpress

I have always been a Jaguar fan, but have never really been in the position to own one. That was, until this time last year. Up until then, my personal, primary mode of transport was a motorbike - specifically, my last bike was a 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa, arguably one of the most powerful, fastest production motorcycle on the road at the time. But, my desire to own a Jaguar and use it as my daily drive, overcame me, and I hung up my leathers, sold my motorcycle to buy my first Jaguar. Now, it may only my a lowly X-Type 2.0D SE, but she is MY Jaaaaaaag!!!! Even though she had 110k on the clock and three previous owners, she had a full service history every 5k with major every 10k. She has got black piano wood for the trim and black leather seats. But other than that, relatively standard. This is my first anniversary as a Jag owner. And even though I was / am suspicious that the previous owner hadnt looked after her as well as he should have - bit rough around the edges e.g. one new rear break caliper changed when I purchased the car; new handbreak adjuster; sticky turbo that occasionally turns the car into a red arrows display team at 5000rpm; and that the regular service, wasnt as regular as the book made out - especially as the book was a replacement - she is still MY JAG!!! My suspicions were pretty much confirmed today. On Saturday I paid £400 for a full service and replacement rear disks. So today, on the way into work, I took her onto the A417 for a little bit of a run. OMG!!!!!! I was initially surprised that when I first insured the car that the insurance company said that all Jags were classed as performance cars. But I didnt appreciate what a Jag can actually do!!! I opened the taps and was totally gob-smacked!!!! Even though she is just a 2.0D, she cant arf shift now that she has had a proper service. AND she is sounding smoother too. The difference is absolutely incredible. I am so glad that I make the move and bought a Jag. I do not miss my Hayabusa one bit. :-)
