I have always believed in the potential of St. Marys Guildhall to be something much more central to Lincolns tourist trade .... the court yard where dyed clothe was once dried ... at least in part survive! The Norman House .. divides experts ... some Norman features or a good later copy ... I would give it the benefit of the doubt ... York would! Surely either English Heritage or National Trust could do something with them. European money? Lincoln does not make the most of what it has. You can have wig shops, offices and restaurants anywhere .. these buildings are absolutely unique .. and they are in Lincoln. The Guildhall is not built next to the Roman Road .. but actually on it !
